For the second straight year, in a grueling 9 on 9 tournament with back-to-back games, the Seattle Gaels won the the Willamette Cup in Corvallis, OR. The Gaels beat the hometown Benton Brigade, 5-11 t0 2-3 in the championship match, after decisive wins against the Brigade and the Columbia Red Branch teams in the first two rounds.

This is the second regional tournament win for the Gaels this season.

The next tournament will be the Seattle Gaelic Games at Greenlake Park on Saturday June 4, 2011.
